How to Choose A Cleanser?

Acne can be defined as a sin condition which is manifested through skin lesions, commonly called pimples. Depending on the type of acne which one may experience, several types of pimples may occur, such as blackheads, whiteheads or red, infected lesions. Acne can be treating by washing your face every day with special cleansers. This method has worked for millions of people who got rid of it for good.

Not any type of cleanser is effective in acne treatment. The best products are those especially designed to fight acne. Noncomedogenic and nonacnegenic substances, like benzoyl peroxide, are contained by cleansers, lotions and moisturizers produced to fight acne. Erythromycin, and other such substances, can be used in acne treatment.

When cleansers are not enough, medication can be prescribed by the doctor. This is usually in the form of oral pills, such as Accutane and Clara is. This treatment is much more stronger than the external one. Yet, patients should be ready for side effects, such as dry skin. Moreover, some of the patients may not see those wanted effects, as pills may not work when the acne is scattered.

Hormonal imbalances tend to trigger acne breakouts, especially for teenage girls during their menstrual cycles. This skin condition can be difficult to put up with, especially during this sensitive period. That is why they are recommended to start using skin cleansers even before acne starts taking over the entire face.

The most effective skin cleansers are those who mildly cleanse the skin and don’t let the pores clogged. Also, it is preferable to stay away from those formulas which contain alcohol, as they can further dry out the skin. In response, the sebaceous glands produce more oil in order to balance the skin Ph, thus causing the apparition of more pimples.

Most of the acne treatments have the same problem: instead of moisturizing the skin they are designed to dry out the pimples and thus the skin. Acne cleansers have the best effects when used in a three step program for healthy skin, which should be used even after the skin was healed. Gel cleansers are better for those with acne, as soap ones tend to dry the skin.

The first step in attaining that healthy skin is of course cleansing. This must be followed, as second step by the use of a mild toner, preferable containing herbal ingredients or tea tree extract, substances which are anti-acne. The last step, and the one which is considered by some to be the most important, is the appliance of a moisturizer. The products used should be made with the scope of treating acne and should have a specific formula. In order to be sure that what you use is in accordance with your problem and skin type you should see a doctor.

The skin is one of the organs which keep on changing, that is why it should always be checked so that it won’t be too dry, too oily or to have any other related problem. Because of the same cause, skin changing, you may need to change the products you use in order to have a healthy skin.
